Experience Summary

Mr. Kilgore has extensive experience in all aspects of geotechnical, foundation and environmental drilling. Currently, as Vice-President of Ranger Consulting, Inc., Mr. Kilgore ensures close communication with each client and is responsible for project oversight, quality control, employee training, technical review and technical support for all projects. Mr. Kilgore has performed foundation investigations for various projects including roadway, railroad and pedestrian bridges, soil surveys, cellular towers, industrial and commercial buildings, water treatment plants, transit systems, pipelines and water towers. His geotechnical drilling experience also includes prospect drilling for rock quarries and mineral deposits. His environmental drilling experience includes monitor well installations, Types II and III, at underground storage tank and hazardous waste sites, landfills, recycling facilities, chemical plants and other commercial properties. Where necessary, Mr. Kilgore is able to provide site access with various types of earthmoving equipment through rough terrain or to remote drilling locations.

Prior to employment with Ranger Consulting, Mr. Kilgore worked as a Transportation Engineer II for the Georgia Department of Transportation Geotechnical Engineering Bureau (GEB) and the Environmental Testing Branch (ETB). His responsibilities included performing geotechnical subsurface investigations utilizing all-terrain, truck or barge mounted drill rigs for bridge foundations, retaining walls, soil surveys, various culvert designs, borrow pits, and slope and roadway failures, restoration and prevention sites.

While working with the ETB, Mr. Kilgore’s responsibilities included performing environmental site assessments, corrective actions and remediations for underground storage tank releases, landfills and other potential hazardous waste sites on properties either owned or acquired by the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Mr. Kilgore is proficient in reading roadway and construction plans, preparing detailed soil boring logs and evaluating aerial photography. He is also familiar with all types of land surveying equipment and various environmental instruments.
